Music Programs
at our school
- All students from Prep to Year 6 receive 30 minutes
of classroom music every week.
- Our school has Junior Voices and Senior Voices Choirs which all children are welcome to join.
- All instrumental groups are taught ( Brass,
Woodwind, Strings and Percussion) and students join either the Concert Band or
String Orchestra.
- Students can commence learning a string instrument in Year Three, and all other instruments in Year Four.
- Instrumental students who reach milestones are
invited to attend annual Regional Music Camps.
- Special music events each year include Musica Viva
performances, Music Count Us In, APEX Eisteddfod Creative Generations excursion and an end-of-year Concert.
- Our music programs are supported by a Sub Committee
of our P and C Association, who provide support for activities, advice for
teachers and fund-raising assistance.
