Prep enrolments for 2024 are now open.
Goondiwindi State Primary School has been part of a regional K-2 Community of Practice and a by-product of this work has been developing a closer working relationship with local Early Childhood Education and Care providers, as well as reviewing Transition to Prep processes.
We have an extensive Prep Transition Program that involves the following:
- Our Principal, Head of Inclusion and current Prep Teachers visit Kindies and Daycares during the year where they read, interact and play with kindy children, forming relationships before children commence Prep
- Open / viewing mornings
- 'Gundy Gumnut' Prep Transition visits that include Parent Information sessions.
- Principal Chat (meet and geet the Principal) and Enrol
- Countdown to Prep Calendars
- Helpful Information, hints and tips to ensure a smooth transition to school
