Our School In
The Community
- our staff and students participate in the local
ANZAC and Remembrance Day marches and ceremonies, in addition to holding our
own ceremonies at school.
- our school participates annually in Schools Clean Up
Day, a national initiative that is part of Clean Up Australia Day
- at the end of each year, classes provide grocery
hampers which are donated to the Lions Christmas Appeal, helping those less
fortunate in the area at Christmas time.
- our students support Seyd, a World Vision Adopted
child in Africa, and raise funds through a free dress day to give him access to
education and basic supplies.
- our staff enter a team in the annual Relay For Life,
an event where participants raise funds to support cancer awareness, treatment and research.
- students organise free dress days to support a range
of other local and global charities and causes, including Autism Awareness Day,
CareFlight Rescue Service and Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
- our P and C
supports a range of community events and
activities such as the Hell Of The West Triathlon and the Plucked Duck B and S
Ball.
