the Internet at our school
Whole school Access to Technology
- All students and staff use our network under the conditions of our Internet Code of Behaviour (pictured)
- Our school has an active Facebook page for parents/carers and the community, and strongly encourages parents/carers to use the QSchools and QParents apps, which integrate with our school information systems.
- Our Library borrowing system is fully digital, and the collection can be searched from anywhere in the school. Students can also participate in activities using the Interactive TV.
- Our Multi Purpose Hall has 2 motorised projector screens that display images from 2 LED projectors
- Full time dedicated IT support Teacher Aide
- Our teachers are equipped with laptop computers, which they use to access our OneSchool administration application
- All students receive digital technology lessons
- Prep to Year 4 by our Specialist Technology Teacher
- Year 5 and 6 by their classroom teachers
Classroom Access to Technology
- Each classroom is equipped with an interactive projector and whiteboard
- Teachers are provided with the opportunity to also utilize other technology in their classrooms including;
- Desktop computers
- iPevo document cameras
- wireless keyboard/mouse
- Easispeak Microphones
- Digital Microscopes
- Blu Bot robots
- Edison robots
- Each year level has access to a set of 12-14 iPads with charging trolleys, which are equipped with headphones and wired iPad keyboard stands to make them more accessible for students.
Computer Labs
- Classes have access to 2 dedicated computer labs, which are equipped with;
- 28 Microsoft desktop computers each
- An interactive projector and whiteboard each
- Colour and Black and White printers
- 3D printer
- Insta360 Camera with an invisible stick
- The Multi Media Computer Lab is open at lunch times for Year 3 -6 students to participate in eSports during their 15-minutes of play time. These sessions are equipped with 2 Nintendo Switches and 1 Nintendo Wii.
